From the Author, Angela Ranieri:

The Bella’s Travels book series came out of what I believed to be necessary in the Pandemic of Covid-19. Our children were suddenly put in to territory that I and many other parents could not imagine. As a Mom, I not only worried, but I saw the way the communities for our children were taken from them and that made me feel terrible for them. I like to believe that as humans we come from a place of good, and I began to wonder how I could help kids with my skill set to get through such uncertain times. I taught writing classes and continued to write my usual assignments, but I believed that I could do more.

Bella’s travels was conceptualized while I was traveling with the real Bella in Montana, while staying on a ranch during the pandemic. My Family was having all of these interesting experiences with the outdoors, which as city people, was a new experience. It occurred to me that to share these experiences through Bella’s eyes could help children learn about the United States. It could also help parents have a guide to facilitate fun and interactive learning and share some funny experiences from the fictional perspective of a chihuahua who wants to be famous, and on her quest, learns some valuable life lessons that our children need to learn.
